WHO WE ARE
UrbanArts has been serving the former City of York since 1988. From our roots as a small arts council to our current leadership role as a community anchor, we’ve remained committed to enriching lives through the arts. Our programming spans multiple generations, disciplines, and communities—serving as a cultural connector in one of Toronto’s most vibrant and diverse districts.
OUR STORY
Over the years, we’ve transformed storefronts, public parks and streets, and underused and non-traditional spaces into vibrant hubs for creativity. From mural-making and youth workshops to artist mentorships and seniors programs, we’ve helped thousands of people find their voice through the arts. We believe in the power of community-led culture and continue to evolve in response to the changing needs of the people we serve.
