The Crayfish Crawl

This is a community event to celebrate our green urban spaces and pond life at Topham Pond at Eglinton Flats.

The Crayfish Crawl is a giant puppet parade for all ages, at Party By the Pond Sat, July 6, Eglington Flats beside Topham Pond

The Crayfish Crawl starts at noon beside Topham Pond. If you are a giant puppeteer please be there by 11 am. If you intend to join the parade please be there at 11:30am.

Paraders of all ages and experiences are welcome We have prepared lots of zany puppets, head-dresses and costumes suitable for all ages to wear in the parade, including children. Wear a seaweed crown or a Lily pad hats; carry a smaller puppet, carry a fish lantern or a tadpole on a stick. The parade will be accompanied and enlivened by local and Toronto musicians.

The Crayfish Crawl is produced by Moonpools Art, with Lead Artist Catherine Moeller, in collaboration with WKNC Seniors Art Group, the Mount Dennis Neighborhood Centre, the Mount Dennis BIA, Urban Arts and other local partners, thanks to funding from the Toronto Arts Council, and other supporters.
