I Heart Neighbourhood Charity Auction
UrbanArts has teamed up with 4 other organizations to host a fundraising event to support all 5 organizations and we need your support!
The first-ever I Heart Neighbourhood Charity Auction, was hosted by City TV personality Tammy Sutherland in 2019, raised over $150,000 for the benefit of five vital community organizations. This unique collaborative fundraiser was moved to an online format in 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic that provided an opportunity to engage community supporters in a virtual setting.
On Tuesday, September 29th, 2020, the third annual I Heart Neighbourhood Virtual Charity Auction saw up to 150 community members and caring companies come together online to celebrate and support the importance of strong, vibrant, and compassionate neighbourhoods in our great city. The charities that benefited from this event included UrbanArts, The Neighbourhood Group, St. Stephens’s Community House, Neighbourhood Information Post and Regent Park Focus Youth Media Centre. Collectively, our agencies serve 50,000 Torontonians each year.
Building on the success of previous year’s, the I Heart Neighbourhood Charity Auction brought together friends, neighbours and supporters of a wide spectrum of caring and compassionate community organizations to celebrate the importance of neighbourhood. This unique collaborative fundraising will help UrbanArts with much-needed funds to support vital programs and services. Attendees enjoyed an elegant evening with both a silent and live auction, live entertainment, and the opportunity to learn about the work of five local charities.
