UrbanArts’ COLLABS is an open invitation to artists, creatives, collectives, and community groups to partner with us on events and activations throughout the year at the Weston Common Cultural Hub and UrbanArts Skills & Training Centre.
We’re opening our spaces year-round to support collaborative, one-off events that bring people together through creativity, culture, and connection. From music performances and pop-up markets to dance classes, storytelling circles, or family art days — we want to help make the ideas that energize and inspire our communities happen.
The COLLABS Series is rooted in partnership. UrbanArts provides access to shared space and light support to help bring your vision to life. We welcome proposals from both new and experienced organizers whose projects reflect the diversity and vibrancy of Toronto’s neighbourhoods — Weston, Mount Dennis, and beyond.

UrbanArts hires over 100 artists annually to design and lead workshops, community art projects, and youth-focused programs. These paid opportunities are ideal for artists who are passionate about engaging with community, sharing their skills, and building meaningful creative experiences across age groups and disciplines.
We provide platforms for artists to showcase their work through murals, installations, and gallery exhibitions. Whether you’re an emerging artist or an established creative voice, UrbanArts offers space, support, and visibility to help bring your vision to life in public and community settings.
UrbanArts offers training, mentorship, and skills-building opportunities that support artists in growing their practice. From facilitation workshops and proposal writing to peer networking and guest speaker sessions, we help artists build the tools and confidence to work professionally in community arts settings.
We regularly collaborate with grassroots groups, schools, service providers, and resident-led initiatives to co-create arts-based programming. Whether you’re looking to run a one-time workshop or a multi-week program, we offer space, support, and co-design opportunities to bring your ideas to life in the communities we serve.
