Earl Phillips brings over 20 years of experience working with local and international non-profits, driven by a deep commitment to youth, community development, and poverty reduction. With a background in operations and project management, Earl is focused on developing practical solutions to systemic barriers faced by equity-deserving communities.
He previously led a program supporting Canadian university interns working in rural South African communities, addressing issues related to education, poverty, and access to resources. More recently, he managed a two-year poverty reduction initiative in Dufferin County that provided support to over 100 individuals and families experiencing homelessness and economic hardship.
Earl recently completed his MBA with a concentration in Management and Change at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, further strengthening his ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive systems-level impact.
His creative and community-driven approach has included producing music festivals, housing summits, and resource fairs, as well as performing as a musician himself. He has presented at national conferences, including the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH), and is committed to using both art and strategy to connect people with opportunities.
A long-time contributor to the Weston-Mount Dennis community, Earl has been involved with UrbanArts for nearly a decade, including supporting the 2016 CultureShock Festival and participating as a member of the Weston Writers Group.
